Floor Scrubber

Not Dispensing Water?

If your floor scrubber is running but little or no water is reaching the floor, don’t worry. Water flow problems are common and can often be resolved with a few simple checks.

1. Check the solution tank

Make sure:

  • The solution tank has enough water

  • The solution level is not too low

  • The tank is properly closed

  • There is no visible debris in the tank

A low water level or blocked solution outlet can prevent water from reaching the brush deck.

2. Check the Water Flow Setting

Make sure:

  • The solution valve is open

  • The water flow is set correctly

  • The flow setting is not at the lowest level

If the valve is closed or the flow is set too low, little or no water will reach the brushes.

3. Make Sure the Machine Is Operating

Check that:

  • The machine is turned on

  • The brush deck is lowered

  • The brushes are engaged

  • The machine is moving, if required

Some floor scrubbers only release solution when the brush system is engaged or the machine is moving.

4. Check the Solution Hoses

Inspect for:

  • Loose connections

  • Kinks or pinched sections

  • Cracks or damage

  • Blockages or debris

Reconnect any loose hoses and remove visible obstructions that may be restricting water flow.

QUICK CHECKS

Start With These Quick Checks Before replacing any parts, check these common causes first.

STEP-BY-STEP TROUBLESHOOTING

Complete each step before moving to the next one

A clogged solution filter is one of the most common causes of reduced or no water flow. Turn off the machine. Close the solution valve if applicable. Locate the solution filter. Carefully remove the filter bowl or filter screen. Rinse away dirt, debris, and detergent buildup. Reinstall the filter securely. Open the solution valve and test the machine again. Tip: Regular filter cleaning can help prevent future water flow problems.

Inspect the hoses running from the solution tank toward the brush deck. Look for: Kinked or pinched hoses Loose connections Debris inside the hose Damaged or collapsed hoses Make sure all hoses are properly connected and water can move freely through the system.

Dirt, detergent residue, or debris can sometimes restrict the water path. Check the solution tank outlet, filter, hoses, fittings, and water outlets near the brush deck. Clean any visible buildup or blockage before testing the machine again.

Depending on the model, your floor scrubber may use a manual valve or an electronic solenoid valve to control water flow. Make sure all electrical connections are secure and inspect the valve for visible blockage or damage. If you suspect an electrical problem or a failed solenoid, contact technical support before replacing components.
